Il Peedi è un emulatore in-circuit che permette di eseguire il debug di firmware e software su:

  • processori ARM Cortex-A53, Cortex-A9, Cortex-A7, Cortex-A5
  • microcontrollori ARM Cortex-M7, M4, M3, M0
  • processori Power Architecture a 32 e 64 bit, ColdFire, Analog Devices Blackfin, MIPS32, MIPS64

Abbiamo cominciato ad usare questo tool nel 2009 come jtag debugger/programmatore per i nostri sviluppi di schede a microprocessore linux ed apprezzandone la validità ne seguiamo da allora anche la commercializzazione in Italia.

Tramite la porta JTAG/BDM/SWD il PEEDI fornisce i servizi necessari per eseguire tutte le operazioni di debug. Lo strumento grazie al server GDB interno può essere adoperato con tutti i debugger basati su GNU gdb come Eclipse ed Insight.

Sono supportate le versioni multicore delle CPU.

Attraverso il collegamento JTAG il Peedi può programmare dispositivi flash collegati direttamente alla cpu:

  • Nand flash
  • eMMC, MMC7SD collegati ad iMX6 ed iMX8M
  • SPI NOR e DataFlash
  • I2C eeprom
  • Flash interna alla maggior parte dei microcontrollori
